Wakame moistens dryness; promotes healthy hair and skin; transforms phlegm and is useful for coughs with yellow or green mucous; softens hardened tissue and masses. It is rich in niacin and thiamine and has a high calcium content.
Ingredients
- 1 lb. Cucumbers
- 2-4 strips wakame or
- 2-3 tsp. shredded wakame
- 1/4 cup thinly sliced red onion
- ¼ cup fresh dill, chopped fine
- brown rice vinegar, umeboshi vinegar, or lemon
- unrefined sea salt
Directions
- Wash cucumbers and slice thin. If waxed, peel. Reconstitute wakame 3-5 minutes in room temperature water; remove center rib, and slice.
- If using wakame flakes simply reconstitute 3-5 minutes.
- Place sliced cucumbers in a colander and mix with 2 tsp. unrefined sea salt. Allow to sit 20-30 minutes. Rinse well and combine with wakame in a bowl.
- Add red onion, fresh dill and brown rice vinegar, umeboshi vinegar, or lemon to taste.
